Delaware Hospice's Family Support Center will offer a special workshop, entitled "Caring for Aging Pets & Pet Loss," on Saturday, February 18^th, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford.

This workshop will examine how to improve the quality of life for our aging companions in a holistic manner and how to cope with the death of our most beloved friends.  Workshop presenters are Laurie Vonasek, RN, who will discuss "Caring for Aging Pets," and Ralph Plumley, ThM, CT, who will speak on "the Grief of Pet Loss."

Beebe Medical Center invites the community to its 2012 Health Fair to take place Thursday, February 16, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center.

This year's event is an expansion of the annual Beebe Heart Fair, incorporating additional exhibits and activities to focus on the overall health of the entire family - all for free.

The House Small Business Caucus (SBC) takes its message on the road this month. 

Please join the House Small Business Caucus for its next monthly meeting on Thursday, February 23rd between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Abbott's Grill in Milford. The restaurant is located at 249 NE Front Street.  Lunch will be served, courtesy of Abbott's Grill.

The meeting will provide small business owners in Kent and Sussex Counties with the opportunity to share their questions and concerns with members of the House Small Business Caucus. 

Delaware Hospice's annual "Beef and Brew" fundraiser will be held on Friday, March 30^th, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., at the Georgetown CHEER Center, 20520 Sand Hill Road, Georgetown.

Guests will enjoy catering by Catchers Restaurant, beer sponsored by Banks Wines & Spirits and the Starboard Restaurant, and dancing to the live music of the ultimate party band, "The Funsters."   Wonderful gifts have been donated to the silent auction thanks to the generosity of local businesses. 

Proceeds from the Beef and Brew will benefit the programs and services of Delaware Hospice, as the only not-for-profit hospice in Delaware.
