Jayne Armstrong, director of the Small Business Administration's (SBA) Delaware district office, is transferring to serve in the same capacity in SBA's Virginia district office. The transfer will be effective in mid-March.
"I was honored to work for Delaware's small business owners for the past 12 years," said Armstrong, "I am especially proud of the dedicated, hard-working SBA team we have built here. I know they will continue to make significant contributions to our small business community."
Armstrong was the first SBA district director in Delaware, assuming the post in 1999.
The nation's top entrepreneurs will be honored at the U.S. Small Business Administration's National Small Business Week events May 20-22 in Washington, D.C. A series of award ceremonies, small business events and educational forums will mark the 59th anniversary of the agency and the 49th annual proclamation of National Small Business Week.
National Small Business Week is cosponsored by the SCORE Association as well as numerous corporate and trade sponsors to be announced.

The agents and staff of Prudential Gallo, REALTORS® gathered for their annual breakfast meeting on Jan. 25 at the Virden Center of the University of Delaware, Lewes. With the opening of its Bethany Beach office, the company now numbers nearly 100 associates.

WSFS Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: WSFS), the parent company of WSFS Bank, reported net income of $22.7 million, or $2.28 per diluted common share for the full year of 2011, a 56% improvement compared to net income of $14.1 million, or $1.46 per diluted common share for 2010.
For the fourth quarter of 2011, WSFS reported net income of $6.2 million, or $0.63 per diluted common share, compared to net income of $2.1 million, or $0.16 per diluted common share for the fourth quarter of 2010 and net income of $6.8 million, or $0.70 per diluted common share for the third quarter of 2011.
