People's Place is a non-profit human services organization serving the residents of DE and surrounding communities with a wide range of mental health and social services. Founded in 1972. We serve:Children ages 0-18 with behavior, medical and emotional problems in need of a nurturing family environment. Referrals taken from Division of Family Services and Child Mental Health. We offer: Free intensive training; 24-hour support; weekly home visits; respite care; in-service training and tax free stipend. Services offered are: Treatment Foster Care; Individualized Residential Treatment; Therapeutic Respite; and Outpatient Mental Health Services (Psychiatry/Therapy). Our community based services strengthen, preserve and keep families together, so that seriously troubled children can remain at home and in their schools.
