The Rehoboth Beach Theatre of the Arts announces its 1st Annual One Act Play Festival to take place February 26 and 27, 2010.
Four One Act Plays will be competing for best play. Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of originality, creativity, and entertainment value. In addition, the audiences will have the opportunity to act as the judges by completing a ballot to select the best "One Act" production. The winning selection will then be entered into the annual Delaware Theatre Association's (DTA) competition scheduled for Friday, March 26, 2010 & Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Everett Theatre located in Middletown, DE. The four plays being presented are Last Train To George, an original work written by Delaware playwright Matt Casarino, a play about two female strangers meeting on a bus and discovering they had something in common; Monkey Rythms by John Baldi, a play about a son trying to persuade his father into selling his home and moving in with him; Save Me A Place At Forest Lawn, a play by Lorees Yerby, about two older ladies discussing the challenges of their current lives; Printer's Devil, a monologue based on the letters of Benjamin Franklin.
The Rehoboth Beach Theatre of the Arts, located at 20 Baltimore Avenue, across the street from the prestigious Atlantic Sands Resort, and just one block from the ocean.
Plenty of free parking is available because the meters are gone until Memorial weekend!
