This year, the Intensive will take place from June 22 through July 2 at Rehoboth Elementary, with the final student performance on Thursday, July 2 at noon and 1:30 p.m. In addition, the Stage-Struck Picnic and Faculty Performance will occur on Wednesday, July 1 beginning at 4:30 p.m. on the lawn at Rehoboth Elementary. Tickets are sold separately to this event and are open to the public. Additional information can be found on the website, along with ticket purchase options.

The Summer Intensive is designed for students in grades 1-12 and has operated at capacity since its inception in 2004. All of the faculty and counselors are looking forward to the start of the Intensive. Christa Pardocchi, a counselor for the Intensive, commented, "I am very excited about the Summer Intensive. Choreographing "Grease" for Cape Henlopen High with Clear Space this past fall was a very positive experience for me, and I'm sure the Intensive will be just the same. Working with the students, who are so always so motivated and energetic, is really a great opportunity that I thoroughly enjoy." Other Faculty Members of this year's Intensive include Ken Skrzesz, Doug Yetter, David Button, Jerry Birl, Melanie Bradley, Shanna Locklair, Dana Peragallo, and Autumn Schneider.

Not only is the staff awaiting the Intensive's opening, but the students are as well, as it is "the highlight of my [their] summer!" said past and upcoming Intensive student Lena Abboud. Lena is also part of the Arts Institute's Broadway Bound on Tour Program throughout the school year. She added, "Broadway Bound on Tour and the Summer Intensive have really pushed me to performing at a level I never thought I could. Being on stage is such an amazing feeling and it really helps me focus and work hard on a daily basis."
