Possum Point Players is providing the guest bartender in a new fundraising initiative through The Brick Hotel in Georgetown. On Sunday March 14, from 6 pm to 9 pm, Nita Gary of Lewes, who coordinates the bar operations for Possum Point Players shows, will earn a $1 donation from The Brick Hotel for every drink she serves. She will also earn, for the Players, 25% of bar tips.
Nita Gary is well known to audiences of Possum Point Players. She has been managing the bar at Possum Hall for years, ensuring it is supplied, and even creating special drinks themed according to the running production. Her cheery attitude brightens any mood, as she truly enjoys what she does.
Possum Point Players is a non-profit community theatre, bringing quality entertainment to Sussex County for over 35 years. The theatre is proud of their partnerships in the community, including this one with Lynn Lester and The Brick Hotel.
In October, the theatre partnered with The Brick Hotel to offer a dinner and show package with their restaurant Tavern on the Circle. It was also offered during the Players Christmas show and current plans include that package offering for future PPP shows when PPP does not offer its own dinner theater.
For details about the Tavern on the Circle menu, please call The Brick Hotel at 302/855-5800. The Brick Hotel is a new addition to the Georgetown Community, and this is a good opportunity to come out to support Georgetown, The Brick Hotel, and Possum Point Players at the same time.
The Players are currently accepting reservations for "Urinetown". Performances begin at 8:00 p.m. on April 16, 17, 23 & 24, and at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays April 18 & 25. Tickets are $20.00. Please call Possum's Ticketline at 302/856-4560. Urinetown is produced by arrangement with Music Theater International. Possum Point Players are sponsored in part by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Delaware Division of the Arts.
