Tickets are now on sale for a 2 PM, February 14 presentation, featuring "Meet Our Miss Brooks" and an original production called "Shirley You Jest".

Possums' "Ad Hoc" group performs from scripts originally performed in the early days of radio. Their regular schedule includes venues throughout the mid-Delmarva area. The past few years they have performed special presentations at Possum Hall in February and often in October as well.

The first comedy being performed on Sunday February 14 is from the popular "Our Miss Brooks" series. The second half of Ad Hoc's presentation is a comedy created by Ms. Nita Gary of Lewes. Ms. Gary is a regular performer with Ad Hoc and has taken many comedic roles on local stages. "Shirley You Jest" brings out the comic talent Possum regulars will recognize in Ms. Gary.

This wintertime entertainment is a nostalgic, romantic way to spend an afternoon for couples of all ages, or a new way to "see" this old medium, for all theatre fans. Radio was our world's first form of mass communication, dating from pre-1900. Originally a way to disseminate information quickly, radio became popular entertainment, and the technology influenced the growth of this nation, and or our global economy. The Ad Hoc performances take this early form of entertainment and add the visual dimension.

Tickets for Ad Hoc's Valentine's Day Special are now on sale. Show time is 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 14. Tickets are $6.00. All tickets are to be paid for and picked up at the door, but seats may be reserved by calling the Possum Ticketline at 302/856-4560.
