Easter Egg Hunt

The 10^th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, organized by the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce is set for Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 11AM-1PM at the Nutter Marvel Carriage Museum in Georgetown. At least 5,000 eggs will be hidden on the Museum grounds, all filled with special toys and treats. The egg hunt kicks-off at 12:00 noon for kids in various age categories up to 12 years. The Marvel Museum is located on 510 S. Bedford St.

In addition to the egg hunt, there will be a moon bounce, a magician, great food & refreshments, train rides on Georgetown's 'Lil Toot, facepainting, arts & crafts, and pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.

Alcohol use among children and adolescents starts early and increases rapidly with age. In 2008, 15.9 percent of 8^th graders, 28.8 percent of 10^th graders, and 43.1 percent of 12^th graders reported drinking an alcoholic beverage in the previous month. Heavy drinking is a problem at all three grade levels. Among 8^th graders, about 1 in 20 (5.4 percent) reported being drunk at least once in the past month. Nearly 1 out of every 7 10^th graders (14.4 percent) and about 2 out of every 7 12^th graders (27.6 percent) reported being drunk at least once in the last month.(1)

"The Mysterious Madcap Murder at the Milton Theatre"
Live on our stage, a vaudeville-themed murder mystery. An evening of laughs and merriment. One victim, so many crazy characters with a motive, hint...the "butler didn't do it!!!" The audience is invited to help solve the case. Tickets are $15; $12 for Seniors (over 65) & Students (under 18)

THE BLIND SIDE is based on the remarkable true story of Baltimore Ravens offensive left tackle Michael Oher played by Quinton Aaron. Michael grew up in the inner city housing projects with his mother in Memphis,Tennessee. Michael's story begins with him being homeless. Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) with her husband and kids pick Michael up and take him home. The teenager faces a new set of challenges that he and his newly adopted family must overcome.
