Methodist Manor House will hold the 2^nd Annual Chicken BBQ & Antique Car Show to benefit Delaware Hospice on Saturday, September 11^th, from Noon until 3 p.m., at 1001 Middleford Rd., Seaford.

Guests will also enjoy a live broadcast of Eagle 97.7, bake sale, craft table, gift shop, and Manor House Thrift Shop.

The Second Annual Hola Awards on Sept. 25 will showcase some of the most admirable Hispanic leaders in Sussex County, who, during part of the evening, will be serenaded by Billboard artist Prince Royce.

The gala, presented by the talk show "Hola FM" on WGMD, recognizes the extraordinary citizens that help strengthen the local community.

Bayhealth Offers Free Prostate Cancer Screenings

Bayhealth Medical Center will offer free prostate cancer screenings during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September. These free screenings are part of Bayhealth's continuing efforts to educate the community and help people identify cancer in its earliest, most treatable stage.

"In prostate cancer, symptoms are rare in its early stages. If people wait for symptoms before getting screened, it's more likely they will be diagnosed with advanced disease", according to Bayhealth Cancer Institute Coordinator Trisha Bentley, BSN, RN, CBCN.

Bayhealth Medical Center will offer FREE prostate cancer screenings during Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September. These free screenings are part of Bayhealth's continuing efforts to educate the community and help people identify cancer in its earliest, most treatable stage.

The free prostate cancer screenings consists of a prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood test, and a digital rectal exam (DRE). Delaware Hospice's Family Support Center will hold a workshop, entitled "Hello from Heaven," from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 p.m., on Friday, September 24^th, 2010, at the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford.

Dr. Judy Pierson, Clinical Psychologist, will lead the workshop where participants will hear stories of those who believe they have had contact or messages from deceased loved ones, as well as reports from those who have had near death experiences.

The "Hello from Heaven" workshop is free and open to the public as a community service of Delaware Hospice. Refreshments will be provided.
